The MIT/Stanford Venture Lab (VLAB) (www.vlab.org) is a chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum sponsored by the Stanford University Office of Technology Licensing and the Alumni Association of Stanford's Graduate School of Business. VLAB starts and grows entrepreneurial ventures by connecting people, ideas and technology.

These new clients join an impressive roster ranging from publicly traded multinationals such as Fairchild Semiconductor International (NYSE: FCS) and Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ: SUNW) to privately held firms.

CHEN PR also announced the promotion of Randy Wambold to Vice President of Client Services. Mr. Wambold was recruited by CHEN PR in 2001, after serving in a range of marketing and communications positions with a publicly traded multinational, an early stage firm and a high technology public relations firm. He joins long-time CHEN PR Vice President Kevin Kosh on the agency's senior management team. Mr. Wambold oversees the agency's work on behalf of Sun Microsystems' software business and also is involved in the CHEN PR's new business and marketing projects.

In keeping with CHEN PR's commitment to social responsibility and furthering the adoption of new technologies, the agency recently began work for the non-profit Charles River Public Internet Center (CRPIC) in Waltham, Mass. CRPIC (www.crpic.org) is an educational organization that works to narrow the dramatic and growing gaps in computer knowledge, access and literacy between people with the funds to obtain access to information technology and those unable to afford those resources. CHEN PR works with the CRPIC to continue raising community awareness of how to close the growing digital divide, and to encourage businesses in the local area to conduct training in CRPIC's state-of-the-art facilities.
