The De Orchis Debrief: RSA Conference 2019 Edition

And just like that, CHEN PR has another RSA Conference under its belt. We had a total of seven clients make the trek to the conference this year — each with their own full plate of media interviews, analyst meetings, and customer meetings. This post will serve as a brief recap of CHEN’s RSA experience, and a peek at what some media observed during the show this past week.
First and foremost, the RSA Conference brand is as strong as ever. The event attracted 40,000 security practitioners, executives, sales teams, industry luminaries and more. The Moscone Center in San Francisco, home of the RSA Conference USA, recently underwent extensive renovations which made the event a much more positive experience for attendees. This convention center complex is made up of a collection of buildings, but Moscone North and South served as the hub for the show. Extensive work was done to make the buildings more inter-connected and accessible, and the expo floors in each received a significant square-footage upgrade. This could not have come at a better time, as vendors took advantage of the extra space with extravagant booth displays.
The sheer scale of the RSA conference – both in size and content – is difficult to convey in a single blog post, but we found several news articles worth sharing, which recap the week from a few different angles:

There was no shortage of vendor events outside the show that tested the limits of sleep deprivation. Despite the over-exhaustion odds, CHEN PR came through on Thursday, the last day of the show, to
support the annual Securosis RSA Disaster Recovery Breakfast. Famous for its breakfast buffet and assortment of complimentary antacids and pain medication, the event served to fill the empty gas tanks of our guests to help them make it through the last day of the show and their eventual trip back home.
RSA Conference 2019 was a resounding success. Clients expressed their appreciation for the months of preparation CHEN PR invested to ensure they got the most out of their time at the show. We look forward to doing the same at RSA Conference 2020 next year!
