We’re searching for an account manager or senior account executive with three to six years of earned media experience in the security and privacy sector, as well as an account executive or associate account executive to join our eclectic crew. Account Manager / Senior Account Executive
Position Description
- Supports account teams in communicating client messages to media, market research analyst and industry influencer communities.
- Oversees media, market research analyst and industry influencer contact databases based on ongoing interaction and input from account teams.
- Creates a range of written materials, including pitches, award nominations, press releases, speaking/byline abstracts and media/market research analyst briefing documents.
- Facilitates client interaction with media, market research analyst and industry influencer communities within context of account teams; this includes coordinating timelines, managing schedules, and participating in calls/meetings.
- Participates in and proactively contributes to management of account team and client interactions/meetings.
- Monitors a range of media outlets for client/competitive coverage to achieve a greater understanding of reporter/influencer interest and coverage, and to identify trends/topics for client commentary.
- Coordinates award, editorial and speaking opportunities; creates and contributes ideas and angles for pitches and campaigns.
- Tracks and analyzes press coverage for clients as well as their competitors and market sectors.
- Requires experience using a range of tech-based products and services important to performing the job function.
Team Responsibilities
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, capability, and a sense of urgency in project management and completion, both independently and as part of the team.
- Demonstrates leadership and communicates with teammates and clients to ensure that account activities are completed in a timely manner and with the highest accuracy and quality.
- Continually evaluates processes to suggest opportunities for increased efficiency and improvement.
- Uses judgment to prioritize tasks and responsibilities, working with more senior teammates to revisit and revise priorities and deadlines as needed.
- Exhibits flexibility in managing multiple projects/deadlines, including support for all team members.
- Interacts directly with media, market research analysts, conference management organizations and other influencers.
Education/Experience
- Minimum 3-6 years’ experience in agency or client-side PR or marketing communications roles, preferably in the information technology sector, and ideally in cybersecurity.
- BA/BS in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business Management, or related field.
Account Executive / Associate Account Executive

- Participates in CHEN PR’s social media activities. This includes posting client coverage via our agency’s website, creating content for our social channels and drafting content for our blog.
- Requires experience using a range of tech-based products and services important to performing the job function.
