Mass Technology Leadership Council Opens 2016 Award Nominations

BOSTON, MA–(Marketwired – Apr 26, 2016) – The Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC), the Bay State’s premier technology industry trade group, today opened nominations for its 19th annual Mass Technology Leadership Awards. The Commonwealth’s most prestigious technology awards program celebrates and showcases the region’s best leaders, companies and technologies. Nominations are free and will be accepted through May 20, 2016.
Comprising a “Who’s Who” of the most influential thought leaders and companies since the program’s inception in 1998, the annual Mass Technology Leadership Awards program is the local innovation community’s longest-running, and one of the most sought-after, contests. Those honored throughout the years range from athenahealth, Carbonite, DraftKings, EMC, Jebbit, LogMeIn, TripAdvisor and Wayfair, to Software Pioneer John Cullinane, MassChallenge CEO John Harthorne, Serial Entrepreneur and Technologist Ray Ozzie, former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Project11’s Katie Rae, MIT Professor and Serial Entrepreneur Michael Stonebraker, and Vecna CEO and VecnaCares Executive Director Debbie Theobald.
Nominations for 2016 will be collected across 22 categories including CEO of the Year, Emerging Executive of the Year and Company of the Year. View the full list of categories. Each nomination will be evaluated by a group of experts familiar with the category. Those nominated in the “Innovative Technology of the Year” and the “Best Use of Technology” categories will have the opportunity to present live before our judging panels.

The Mass Technology Leadership Award finalists will be announced at a VIP reception in July and the ultimate winners will be unveiled as a highlight of the annual MassTLC Awards Gala in September. Each year, the gala brings together close to 1,000 of the area’s top tech executives, community leaders, business luminaries and media personalities to celebrate the region’s internationally recognized role in the innovation economy.
